"King" David Nassi began training Kyokushin Karate in 2003 under Senpai Jeremy Kaplan. Possessing a combination of supreme focus and active curiosity, David soon established himself as a strong, challenging sparring partner to higher ranked students.

With only half a year of experience and an orange belt, David entered the prestigious Little Tokyo Tournament in September of 2003. As the lowest-ranked competitor in the 9-10 year-old division, David knocked out his first opponent just 5 seconds into the fight with a roundhouse kick to the belly. In the semi-finals, David defeated a Manhattan Beach brown belt in a grueling double-overtime match, before finally succumbing in the finals to a tournament seasoned green belt.

With competitive experience and a brand new blue belt, David has continued to improve through diligent training at the Eagle Rock Kyokushin Dojo. Fighting in the 11-12 year-old division, David once again won the 2nd place trophy at April's Little Tokyo Tournament, and then dominated the same age group with a 1st Place finish in June's North Los Angeles Tournament.

David is a lightning quick combination puncher who can finish with crippling roundhouse kicks aimed at legs, ribs, or head. His aggressive fighting is surpassed only by his more aggressive sense of humor.

King David will be moving with his family to Nebraska in August. Be sure to send him off in style at July's picnic. All hail The King!
